St. John’s Lutheran Church in Prairie du Sac was the initial home of the Good Neighbor Clinic. In 2001, the clinic moved into the St. Vincent de Paul Resource Center. This was its home for 14 years, with St. Vincent’s donating the space and providing all utilities, as well as cleaning services. In January of 2015, the clinic moved to its present location at 95 Lincoln Avenue, Prairie du Sac.
Sauk Prairie Healthcare helps to support the Good Neighbor Clinic by donating basic outpatient diagnostic services, including lab work and diagnostic imaging. The three Sauk Prairie area pharmacies provide all medications to the clinic at cost (patients pay $1.00 per prescription). Local vision care providers also donate eye exams to diabetic patients. Several local physicians, Physician’s Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners donate their time to provide primary medical care at the clinic.
